New City Kids is a faith-based organization that serves youth in Jersey City and Paterson, NJ, and Grand Rapids and Detroit, MI. We provide a unique after-school center and summer camp program for children aged 6-13.
About the Role:
We are seeking an organized and effective Administrative Assistant to support our Executive Director and Grand Rapids site. This is a permanent part-time position, approximately 30 hours per week, with a set schedule from Monday to Friday, 12:30pm to 6:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Executive Director, including scheduling, filing, and general office duties.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination, as well as attendance and registration for programs.
- Support special events and projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in an administrative role.
- Bilingual ability to speak English and fluent Spanish.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
