Work Environment: These are full-time, on-site positions with a competitive salary reflective of experience. We offer a Compressed Work Week, typically allowing for every other Friday off. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee landscape architecture projects from initial design through to construction administration, including the management of subcontractors and production teams.
  • Take charge of the production, organization, coordination, and accuracy of all project presentations and documentation.
  • Utilize discretion and independent judgment in executing responsibilities.
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages concurrently, collaborating with the principal team to maintain design integrity and visual consistency.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among project team members, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory officials.
  • Oversee project timelines, workflows, and anticipate necessary staffing resources.
  • Review project budgets and communicate progress to the administrative team.
  • Collaborate with the project team to create presentation materials for client and regulatory meetings.
  • Research and specify materials, products, and systems as needed.
  • Attend on-site meetings, provide supplemental instructions, and review submissions and shop drawings during the construction phase.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, sharing insights and experiences to enhance the firm's collective knowledge.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in MAC OSX.
  • Experience with Vectorworks Landmark (current version).
  • Familiarity with SketchUp.
  • Competence in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Design Suite.
  • Ability in hand sketching and lettering.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture.
  • Licensure as a Landscape Architect is advantageous (California license preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Authorization to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a similar capacity at a comparable firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting and detailing projects from inception to completion.
