Corporate Banking Executive

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Banking Executive to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Banking group, you will be responsible for client coverage, corporate debt structuring and execution, portfolio management, and product cross-selling for the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure industry group in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities- Structure and execute lending transactions for the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure sector in the US, including acquisition loans, bridge loans, corporate revolvers, and project or asset financings.
- Lead or assist in relationship coverage across the U.S. Power, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors for Corporate Banking.
- Lead or secondary responsibility for the identification of cross-sell opportunities in coordination with Investment Banking and Fixed Income coverage.
- Lead the credit underwriting process and collaborate with requisite internal stakeholders to execute the transaction.
- Prepare credit submission materials and other documentation related to the transaction approval and closing process.
- Negotiate requisite legal documents related to executing transactions.
- Proactively manage the portfolio, including timely updates on client and industry performance.
- Advanced degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields, CFA, or other relevant professional designation, or acceptable work experience in corporate lending/finance.
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience in corporate finance and/or corporate banking.
- Relevant experience with the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure industry.
- Corporate lending experience.
- Project finance experience preferred.
- Strong financial modeling abilities, as well as superior writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels within and outside of the organization.
- Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong team skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and paid time-off plan.
