Position Summary:
We are in search of a General Manager to oversee the comprehensive operations of our HVAC and Plumbing divisions. This pivotal role will focus on driving growth, enhancing performance metrics, fostering a positive culture, and developing all personnel, with the ultimate goal of achieving excellence in operations. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, taking full responsibility for the profit and loss of the business while ensuring optimal performance across all areas. This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams in HVAC, Plumbing, Installation, and Support to ensure timely, quality work that meets budgetary and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement sales growth forecasts, market strategies, and profitability plans, tracking performance against established targets.
  • Analyze costs to minimize waste and unnecessary expenses.
  • Conduct routine job costing analyses to ensure proper pricing and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Manage all hiring and termination processes, overseeing labor allocation and associated costs.
  • Set clear standards and expectations for performance, communicating goals and KPIs to team members.
  • Guide and support the development of direct reports and their teams.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to create targeted training programs aimed at enhancing measurable performance.
  • Prioritize exemplary customer service, fostering relationships to ensure repeat business through effective coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Encourage team enthusiasm and brand loyalty through regular meetings and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role, with proven P&L experience.
  • Experience in the Skilled Trades or related industries is essential; familiarity with forced air systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn about hydronics is advantageous.
