Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at NovaCare Rehabilitation. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they arrive at our center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet new and existing patients, register new patients, and provide information about what to expect during their visit.
  • Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments in person or over the phone, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with patients, providers, and coworkers to ensure that all necessary information is shared and that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Insurance and Billing: Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide patients with pertinent information about their next appointment as they check out, and respond to requests for information from patients and providers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1 year of front desk experience and 1 year of medical office experience
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer programs
