Patient Services Representative

Job SummaryThe Patient Services Representative will work collaboratively with hospital services, medical staff, and administration to ensure quality patient care is delivered. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to obtain accurate information, including demographic data and insurance details.
- Assign coordination of benefits in the hospital information system.
- Identify and collect co-pays from patients at the time of registration.
- Post payments, generate receipts, and perform daily cash reconciliation.
- Obtain referrals as required from patients, physician offices, or online resources.
- Place orders in clinic software applications as necessary.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge of patient registration and/or insurance verification, including software applications.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
