Your Role

As an ICU Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering prescribed medications and managing patient dressings and wounds.
  • Providing respiratory care and monitoring patients on ventilators.
  • Coordinating care among various healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient support.
  • Utilizing computerized documentation systems to monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.
  • Assessing and coordinating discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Specialty certification is preferred.
  • One to two years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • Prior ICU experience is advantageous.
