Role Summary and Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating care for critically ill patients. Your duties will include:
- Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
- Providing respiratory care and managing ventilators for patients.
- Acting as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care.
- Documenting and communicating patient conditions using computerized systems.
- Assessing and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Specialty certification is preferred.
- One to two years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
- Previous ICU experience is preferred.
