Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse delivers direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Identifies nursing challenges tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
Plans individualized patient care utilizing a collaborative approach.
Engages in performance enhancement initiatives.
Provides care and coordinates efforts that align with the hospital's mission and vision.

When serving in a charge nurse capacity, registered nurses oversee daily operations to ensure quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Assign staff based on patient requirements, acuity levels, and staff expertise. Act as a role model and clinical resource for team members.
Respond promptly to inquiries or follow-ups regarding physician, staff, or patient matters.
Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while executing physician orders.
Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
