Billing and Revenue Operations Manager

Smart Data Solutions LLC is a prominent provider of data management and workflow solutions tailored for health plans and third-party administrators (TPAs). We are seeking a skilled finance professional to enhance our Finance team.
Position SummaryThe Billing and Revenue Operations Manager will oversee the accuracy and timeliness of the billing operations. This role includes managing global accounts receivable functions and will report directly to the Senior Director of Financial Accounting and Control. The successful candidate will lead billing and accounts receivable initiatives, systems, and processes within a dynamic and expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the billing operations while collaborating with the development team on automation and process enhancement initiatives.
- Conduct thorough analyses of contracts to guarantee compliance with all billing terms.
- Oversee daily accounts receivable functions, including collections, payment processing, credit memo applications, and account reconciliations.
- Develop and nurture a high-performing accounts receivable team through effective mentoring and leadership.
- Generate and disseminate monthly receivable reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analyses.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller, implementation teams, and revenue product managers to ensure precise revenue accounting during the rollout of new products and services.
- Partner with the accounting department on related receivable projects and information requests during financial audits.
- Enhance and implement accounts receivable systems, processes, and reporting mechanisms to align with business growth.
- Manage billing and accounts receivable integration during financial system transitions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting within a rapidly growing global environment.
- Proven experience in team leadership and process improvement implementation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also being willing to engage in hands-on work when necessary.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
- Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
