Summer 2024 Academic Support Assistant

Responsibilities will differ based on the specific course assigned.
- Conduct regular office hours to provide personalized assistance to students, enhancing their Web, research, and writing capabilities.
- Be accessible to students beyond standard office hours for additional guidance.
- Facilitate Recitation Sessions for students (both live and recorded).
- Assist in the upkeep of the course website.
Additional responsibilities may involve grading exams, homework, and reports; documenting grades; preparing materials for distribution; sourcing articles, videos, and other educational resources; and organizing class materials.
Essential:
- Prior completion and demonstrated comprehension of the course(s) (or a closely related equivalent at another institution);
- Strong interpersonal abilities and a desire to develop teaching skills.
- Capability to effectively engage with diverse learning styles.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant is highly desirable.
Compensation:
Starting at $17 per hour, commensurate with experience.
