Job Description

AECOM is seeking a visionary and self-motivated Regional Market Sector Business Development Leader to accelerate our strategic growth in Emerging Technology and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) services across Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent AECOM in the marketplace, overseeing business development, sales, and strategy for our emerging technology and ITS business line.
  • Develop and deliver upon near- and long-term strategic plan goals set by the senior leadership team with regard to key client/account wins, sales/booking targets, revenue targets, and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead and manage large-scale business development pursuits within emerging technology / ITS services, providing strategic direction and expertise.
  • Create and execute capture plans that include strategic teaming arrangements and differentiation tactics to strengthen AECOM's competitive position and support the success of client projects.
  • Prepare impactful, persuasive client-facing proposals and presentations in collaboration with marketing teams, presenting to potential clients in the emerging technology / ITS field.
  • Foster innovation in traffic engineering approaches and methodologies to achieve differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Support recruitment and talent development strategies, including support for identifying talent gaps or developing resourcing plans to meet current and future needs.
  • Recommend workforce planning and skill development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and support future growth in emerging technology / ITS related services.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage large-scale business development pursuits.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare impactful, persuasive client-facing proposals and presentations.
