About the Role

Hixson Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our Science + Technology strategic business unit, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new relationships with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, and R&D market sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Hixson's Science + Technology business development strategy
  • Identify, qualify, and engage potential new clients and sell Hixson's services in a professional manner consistent with company values
  • Execute effective outbound call, email, and marketing campaigns with persistence and focus
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads and opportunities
  • Effectively present Hixson's capabilities and experience to prospective clients, engage technical SME's as appropriate, and create proposals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Architecture, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Experience in design and/or construction of pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, and/or R&D facilities
  • 5+ years of consultative sales experience, including sophisticated sales of intangible services and/or customized systems, preferably in the A/E/C industry
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business development strategies
  • Relationship builder, strategic, and entrepreneurial in nature; high integrity; strong presentation skills; team player; internally motivated
