Project Planning Advisor I

Role Overview

Innovating solutions to deliver essential materials globally.

We are seeking a mid-level P6 scheduler to oversee the creation and upkeep of integrated studies and execution project timelines, including maintenance shutdowns. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of project methodologies and Project Controls practices, encompassing planning principles, scheduling, risk/change management, cost/schedule integration, and performance evaluation.

In this position, you will leverage your expertise and experience in a technical or professional domain. You will tackle a variety of challenges using established procedures and solutions, while receiving moderate guidance and direction. Reporting to the Manager of Schedule Controls, your responsibilities will include:

Developing, maintaining, and reporting on project plans and schedules. Assisting with daily updates for annual plant shutdown schedules. Participating in project schedule review sessions and updating timelines accordingly. Aiding in the preservation of integrated project schedule integrity. Contributing to the preparation of monthly schedule reports, including detailed analysis. Supporting schedule development and monitoring for designated areas. Identifying opportunities for process improvement. Ensuring adherence to standardized processes, systems, and tools. Fostering relationships with contractors and other project planning stakeholders. Collaborating with cost engineering and estimating teams to clearly communicate the implications of changes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling is preferred. Experience in project planning/scheduling within industrial and/or construction settings. Proven expertise and comprehensive knowledge of P6 Primavera Scheduling Software. Experience in integrating contractor schedules into a master project timeline. The ability to apply project scheduling techniques across diverse projects and disciplines.
