About the Role

The Fundraising Data Specialist position at the Commonwealth of Virginia is a key partner in leveraging data insights and fundraising trends to drive revenue growth and alumni engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Data team to gather data insights that can be leveraged to optimize fundraising campaigns and improve data quality.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, donor relations, and other teams to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to optimize fundraising strategies.
  • Lead the data execution for annual giving fundraising efforts and optimize audience targeting for all solicitations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of modern data analytics tools and experience with queries, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working with large relational databases and data visualization tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CRM systems and experience working with fundraising software.
  • Experience in higher education, non-profit, or fundraising industries.
