About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to join our team at Mediabistro. As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for executing a variety of marketing activities across digital and traditional marketing channels to support the growth and success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Create and implement marketing plans to achieve business objectives, including content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation, and copywriting.
  • Manage Social Media Presence: Oversee the management of our social media coordinator role, ensuring all organic and paid social media campaigns are on brand and support University strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Work with vendors to manage all paid campaigns and develop creative briefs to guide creative direction for all advertising and public-facing communications.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Regularly monitor market trends, best practices, competitors, and the social media industry, communicating insights to the team and cross-functional groups as appropriate.
  • Report Insights: Regularly report insights gained from paid social media monitoring to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze Performance Metrics: Use creative thinking and initiative to analyze paid social media performance metrics and make recommendations on content and strategy to improve effectiveness of paid social media effort.
  • Develop Marketing Materials: Work with graphic designers and video editors to create a wide variety of marketing materials and collateral, including print, digital, and video assets consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Manage Digital Projects: Manage a variety of digital projects from inception to completion, including definitions of project scope, steps to delivery, and project budget.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Develop and maintain a healthy working relationship with all departments within the company to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Understand Company Products: Understand the company's products and consumer base to create marketing projects and campaigns that align with its vision and culture.
  • Manage Marketing Help Desk: Monitor and manage the Marketing Help Desk system to ensure fulfillment of marketing requests from across the organization.
  • Manage Vendors: Manage and collaborate with various vendors.
  • Support Lead Generation: Provide support on lead generation efforts.
  • Support Team Members: Provide support, attend, and assist with other team members during various campus events.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or IT)
  • Preferred Education: Master's Degree
  • Preferred Experience: 4 - 5 years in a creative marketing role
