Job Summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing and Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for plant maintenance, focusing on equipment reliability and uptime, facilities/utilities maintenance, and systems support to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs
  • Support Internal Customers in Areas Such as Equipment/Line Audits, Overhauls, and Equipment Conversion
  • Interact with Other Members of the Company, Manufacturing, Corporate Technical Center, and EH&S to Develop Strategies, Resolve Problems, and Implement Solutions
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Technological Changes and Implement Retrofits to Meet Today's Efficiency Standards
  • Manage, Coach, and/or Develop Plant Maintenance Employees
  • Prepare and Administer Department Budget within Established Guidelines for Maintenance and Repair of Building and Equipment
  • Drive Root Cause Identification and Analysis for Maintenance-Related Failures and Identify Opportunities to Improve
  • Maintain Appropriate Levels of Maintenance Spare Parts under Inventory Control
  • Arrange for and Manage Third-Party Contractor Support as Needed
  • Work Closely with Operations Management to Ensure Production Efficiencies are Maximized
  • Responsible as an On-Call Contact for High Priority Issues and Emergencies
  • Facilitate and Support EHS Programs Such as Hazardous Waste Disposal
  • Lead by Example to Instill and Enforce a World-Class Safety and Housekeeping Culture
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 7+ Years of Manufacturing Facilities/Equipment-Related Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ Years in a Supervisor/Leadership Position
  • Experienced in Industrial Hydraulic and Pneumatic Principles and Their Use on Mechanical Systems
  • Experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety Practices and Procedures
  • Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards, Specifically NFPA
  • Ability to Work Individually and as Part of a Team
  • Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving, Troubleshooting, and Time-Management Skills
  • Excellent Organizational, Interpersonal, and Decision-Making Skills
  • Ability to Interpret Drawings, Technical Manuals, Specifications, and Regulations
  • Excellent Verbal, Written, and Mathematical Skills Required
  • Ability to Clearly and Effectively Interact with Internal and External Customers on a Variety of Levels
  • Ability to Work with Sufficient Speed, Accuracy, and Attention to Detail to Perform Job Functions as Required
  • Proficient in MS Office Products
Working Conditions
  • Will Be Required to Perform Job Duties Outside of the Typical Office Setting in a Plant Environment as Well as in an Office
  • May Be Exposed to Moving Mechanical Parts and Vehicular Traffic
  • May Be Exposed to a Wide Range of Temperatures
