QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in social services within a long-term care setting.
YOUR ROLE

As a Residential Support Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Fostering positive relationships with fellow caregivers to ensure their involvement in and support of programs/services that enhance residents' psychosocial well-being.
  • Documenting and reporting any grievances or complaints to the Director of Social Services.
  • Acting as an advocate for residents, collaborating with care staff to ensure all needs are met (e.g., appropriate attire and hygiene). Monitoring any changes in residents' conditions and promptly reporting to the RN Charge Nurse.
  • Providing insights to the Director of Social Services to assist in addressing residents' issues and better fulfilling their needs.
  • Enhancing the quality of services and activities, expanding opportunities and choices for residents.
  • Collaborating with the activities department to engage family members and guests in various activities.
  • Upholding confidentiality regarding all resident and family information.
  • Performing general social services responsibilities.
