At Tokio Marine HCC, we are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Accounting department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our accounting team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Within the first 30 days, you will gain a thorough understanding of our department procedures, systems, and corporate policies through comprehensive training and interactions with the accounting team.

Within the first 60 days, you will be:

  • Scanning checks electronically and determining the appropriate bank account for deposit
  • Maintaining manual files for open and closed payables and receivables
  • Working with other departments to fulfill information requests, such as audits, payment details, and accounts payable/receivable information
  • Processing monthly statements for distribution to brokers and advertising firms
Within the first 90 days, you will be working independently, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating your ability to meet challenges related to job responsibilities.

Your Skills and Experience:
  • High school or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Office environment work experience is required
  • Advanced proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience as an administrative assistant is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Adept and accurate data entry skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Inquisitive and proactive attitude, with the ability to offer suggestions on improving/streamlining processes
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently as needed
