Accounting Department Support Specialist

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Accounting department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with multiple departments, including underwriting, IT, compliance, and claims. This role is located in our headquarters in Wakefield, MA.
Tokio Marine HCC is a leading specialty insurance group with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Ireland, and other locations. We offer important insurance products that most people do not even know exist. Every policy we write is special, enabling our clients to do amazing things.
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Scanning checks electronically and determining the appropriate bank account for deposit
- Maintaining manual files for open and closed payables and receivables
- Working with other departments to fulfill information requests
- Processing monthly statements for distribution to brokers and advertising firms
Within the first 90 days, you will be working independently, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating the ability to meet challenges related to job responsibilities.
We are looking for an individual with:
- High school or equivalent education and/or experience
- Office environment work experience
- Advanced proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience as an administrative assistant preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
- Adept and accurate data entry skills
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
- Inquisitive and proactive attitude
