Position Summary:

As a Service Engineer, you will prioritize customer satisfaction by engaging directly with our international clientele to troubleshoot technical issues related to equipment and software, enhance operational efficiency, provide training, and support internal production processes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with senior engineers during installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Delivery: Provide exceptional service by executing instrument installations, conducting training sessions, performing preventative maintenance, and managing repairs at global trade shows.
  • Operational Support: Offer technical expertise to bolster in-house production and field service needs, including instrument assembly, customer communications, and the creation of training materials and technical documentation.
  • Problem Resolution: Work alongside internal teams to address customer concerns, streamline processes, and ensure the successful completion of service cases to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Improvement: Actively seek and implement innovative practices to enhance service efficiency and training offerings, while effectively communicating instrument status and customer feedback to relevant teams.
  • Business Development: Contribute to achieving specific service-related performance indicators related to revenue, profitability, and service order volumes, in alignment with our corporate values.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience (2-3 years) in a relevant field.
  • Technical background in mechanical, industrial, or electrical disciplines, with a solid understanding of basic engineering principles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial production, preferably in automated environments, with knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Travel Requirements: This role necessitates approximately 75% domestic and/or international travel.
