We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Alomere Health. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain specimen integrity.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, pathology, toxicology, and urinalysis.
- Report normal and abnormal test results to healthcare providers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Maintain quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other laboratory staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or related field.
- Board of Certification, Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
This is a part-time position, with varying shifts Monday-Friday, 6:00 am – 8:00 pm. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. The successful candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and work in a laboratory environment.
