Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for operating sonographic equipment, performing diagnostic examinations, and communicating results to physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations, including breast, ABI, and other sonography examinations.
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications.
- Obtain and review requisitions for examinations to ensure accurate information.
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as necessary.
- Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Provide interpreting physicians with oral or written summaries of technical findings.
- Identify problems, secure relevant data, and generate alternative courses of action.
- Assist with daily operations of the sonographic laboratory.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate.
- CPR/Basic Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Advanced registry in Vascular, Abdomen, OB, and Breast imaging.
- Bilingual.
