We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Leader to join our team at Pyramid Global Hospitality as a Sous Chef.

This individual must have extensive experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen and be a college graduate in the culinary arts.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated, and passionate hands-on leader in the kitchen who can drive menu innovation and excellence in food preparation and presentation.

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of daily food production, preparation, and presentation in a safe and sanitary work environment that meets all standards and regulations.

This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop the skills of their team, as well as drive profitable and competitive quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attract, retain, and motivate top culinary talent
  • Act in the absence of the Executive Chef to complete daily ordering and inventory management
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the kitchen to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards
  • Lead daily meetings with the team to ensure preparation and communication of key information
  • Represent the culinary team at weekly F&B meetings, BEO meetings, and leadership meetings
  • Manage the finances of the department, analyze costs, and control expenses to achieve a profitable operation
  • Develop and implement menu concepts, costing, and implementation
  • Ensure thorough knowledge of food allergens and handle guest requests with a high sense of urgency
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen
  • College graduate in the culinary arts
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to analyze costs and control expenses
