Job Description

Anderson Dahlen is seeking a highly skilled Business Segment Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a core team of individuals focused on the customers in the Vacuum Business Segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of project managers, estimators, manufacturing engineers, CAD operators, and design engineers to meet the goals for their segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Manage risks and issues that arise over the course of various projects, prioritizing competing project deliverables against the team's capacity.
  • Maintain a schedule of all the team's work, ensuring deliverables are aligned across projects.
  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators for their team, capturing lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, business management, or a related field, with 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and proven program management skills.
  • Solid team building and organizational skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving, and multi-tasking.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook, as well as knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling tools (preferably Solid Works) and ERP systems (preferably Made to Manage).
  • PMP certification is a plus, and excellent client-facing and internal communication skills are essential.
