Job Summary

Verterra Energy is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our mechanical function and drive the development of our modular hydropower technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of mechanical engineers to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for our hydropower technology.
  • Lead the selection and management of mechanical vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and hardware.
  • Develop and implement mechanical systems designs and integrations to meet the needs of our hydropower technology.
  • Perform bench and field testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our mechanical systems.
  • Manage multiple programs and projects to ensure timely and successful delivery of our mechanical systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related discipline such as mechanical engineering, ocean engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of subsea or offshore environments and the related engineering challenges.
  • Experience leading teams and making an impact as an individual contributor.
  • Familiarity with mechanical component and hardware identification and selection.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems design and integration.
  • Ability to perform bench and field testing.
