Position Summary

The individual in this role is responsible for delivering and managing training programs for DelDOT personnel. Key responsibilities include developing and facilitating courses on the agency's operational systems and procedural guidelines; establishing a training calendar; revising educational materials; collaborating with supervisors; updating training content to reflect regulatory changes and system enhancements; maintaining comprehensive training documentation; proposing new training opportunities; organizing the training repository; designing refresher courses; and fulfilling assigned strategic objectives.

Develops, organizes, and delivers a diverse range of training and educational programs, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and group activities. Prepares instructional materials and resources, including handouts, manuals, and necessary equipment. Researches and recommends effective delivery methods, materials, and technologies to enhance learning outcomes based on best practices. Provides coaching and constructive feedback to promote skill development and performance improvement. Gathers and analyzes feedback through surveys, evaluations, and assessments to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement. Recommends improvements based on analysis, including new or revised training programs and instructional techniques. Offers expert guidance on training and educational strategies and encourages the utilization of available resources. Maintains accurate records and reports, including training schedules, participant lists, and updates on training activities. Engages in ongoing professional development to stay informed about current standards, methodologies, and regulations relevant to training and education. Utilizes technology and software to research, document, and report on training-related information. May oversee content management for digital platforms and create instructional materials for promotional purposes. May manage training facilities and resources as needed. May participate in evaluating and recommending relevant technological tools. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS for Education and Training Coordinator II Candidates must demonstrate competence in the following areas:

A minimum of one year of experience in delivering educational programs or training sessions utilizing various instructional materials and technologies. At least six months of experience in maintaining training records and documentation, including schedules and participation logs. Six months of experience in designing educational content and instructional strategies to meet learning objectives. Six months of experience in developing assessment tools to evaluate training effectiveness and needs.
