The Clinical Research Coordinator II plays a pivotal role in managing the administrative components of clinical studies. This position involves obtaining informed consent from participants and executing various outreach, educational, and awareness initiatives for the Neuroimmunology Clinic and Research Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee clinical trials, ensuring effective communication with industry partners and study participants.
- Maintain accurate data records, patient files, regulatory documentation, and study databases.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract participants.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret clinical data.
- Serve as a resource for patients and their families regarding study-related inquiries.
- Facilitate patient consent for clinical trials and biobanking initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the Neuroimmunology Clinic and external organizations in the field.
- Create and revise educational materials aimed at raising awareness about rare autoimmune diseases affecting the central nervous system.
- Support fundraising efforts for the Laboratory's initiatives.
- Provide assistance to both physicians and patients as needed.
A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required; a Master’s degree (MA or MS) is advantageous. A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is necessary, with familiarity in autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system being a plus. Proficiency in a second language is also beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Strong communication and writing skills are essential, along with a high level of computer proficiency.
Analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues are important. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of data management software.
While much of the work can be performed remotely, direct patient interaction and support for physicians will necessitate some on-site presence.
Additional responsibilities may include orienting or training other staff members as appropriate.
