Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Supervisor II to join our team at Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy in Frederick, MD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, custodial activities, and task delegation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems and Controls: Possess knowledge of wiring schematics, electrical inspection procedures, electrician tools, safety codes, and regulations. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
    • Demonstrate expertise in wiring schematics to drive innovation in electrical systems and compliance.
    • Adhere to electrical safety practices to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
    • Work with various I/O devices to control conveyor logic (for example, gapping, sorting, diverting).
    • Inspect critical equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and designs.
    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and lighting.
    • Maintain and repair electrical heating and ventilation equipment.
    • Troubleshoot control circuits.
    • Oversee and carry out all activities and tasks associated with electrician services.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes.
  • Custodial Activities: Possess knowledge of operational requirements of floor-cleaning equipment, tools, machines, and company-approved chemicals used to perform routine cleaning procedures. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
    • Coach others on advanced custodial methods and techniques to deliver custodial services in a cost-effective manner.
    • Oversee custodial quality and investigate reports of substandard quality.
    • Assess inventory levels and functioning of all custodial machinery, equipment, and materials.
    • Coordinate corresponding purchases or maintenance.
    • Evaluate and optimize cleaning and sterilization procedures to improve custodial performance.
    • Mitigate identified cleanliness issues and implement corrective action.
    • Monitor all custodial activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agency codes.
  • Task Delegation: Possess knowledge of task delegation techniques, progress monitoring tools, and processes. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
    • Communicate the definitions and impacts of a successful completion of delegated tasks.
    • Work with associates in the development of plans and objectives for delegated tasks.
    • Under guidance, delegate simple tasks to individual associates according to their readiness.
    • Monitor progress and provide feedback, support, and course correction as necessary.
  • Schematics and Technical Drawings: Possess knowledge of common drafting tools, procedures, and processes, blueprints, and technical drawing specifications. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
    • Prepare sketches and blueprints for wiring and equipment.
    • Perform routine changes to computerized schematics or drawings.
    • Define sub-systems or components.
    • Prepare design documents and blueprints.
    • Coach others on the interpretations of blueprints, including 2D and 3D design drawings, detailed design drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
    • Review drawings and specifications to ensure that detailed requirements are addressed.
  • Vendor Management: Possess knowledge of vendor policies, vendor request processes, and vendor quality standards. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
    • Act as the routine contact point between the organization and vendors.
    • Resolve routine supplier issues.
    • Escalate nonroutine issues up the chain of command.
    • Research alternative vendors or suppliers.
    • Provide feedback on supplier options and selection.
    • Follow company procedures in carrying out routine supplier management tasks.
    • Work with vendors to ensure that purchases meet delivery dates and quality specifications.
Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience in a Walmart maintenance technician position.
  • OR 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance, primarily electronics.
  • 1-2 years of Management/Supervisory experience.
  • 2 years' experience performing industrial warehouse or manufacturing maintenance activities (for example, preventative maintenance, material handling equipment, power equipment, facilities upkeep).
