Job Overview

General Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing, directing, and coordinating all operations and maintenance (O&M) functions at the designated site to ensure compliance with contractual goals. The role involves supervising and coordinating the efforts of skilled trades personnel engaged in the upkeep and repair of equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer O&M management functions, addressing a variety of actions and challenges related to assigned contracts.
  • Evaluate management strategies aimed at achieving contractual goals while providing guidance and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades, and crafts.
  • Schedule work activities effectively to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare and submit various monthly progress reports in line with contract and organizational requirements.
  • Manage and allocate contract resources; oversee budgets for assigned contracts.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel on-site, including subcontractors, while adhering to environmental standards and maintaining quality of work.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff, along with safety meetings and briefings.
  • Investigate and resolve customer and employee complaints.
  • Engage in fieldwork performing maintenance on HVAC systems while dedicating remaining time to contract management tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of various codes and standards relevant to O&M tasks, including PWS, TJC, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficient in the operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, fire safety systems, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in a healthcare business occupancy medical facility's O&M.
  • Demonstrated experience in servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings, including managing a diverse workforce responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000, with potential eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, wellness, financial planning, and short-term incentives.
