Job Title: Area Vice President, Sales

**About the Role**

Shockwave Medical, a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease, is seeking an experienced Area Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Build and develop a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth and establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies to maximize sales revenues and attain corporate objectives.
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue streams and provide coaching and support to sales teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead sales leadership team meetings and participate in sales management meetings and quarterly business reviews.

**Requirements**

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of leading sales managers in the medical device or disposable device markets.
  • At least 10 years medical device sales experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success leading sales managers.
  • Strong sales, recruiting, leadership, organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Results-oriented with multiple years of meeting or exceeding quota with experience in bringing innovative market-defining products to market.
  • Good interpersonal skills to align and foster positive working relationships across the organization (internal and external).
  • Ability to develop and critically analyze a sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel over 50% if needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

**Compensation and Benefits**
