Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to various project sites across the country and the Caribbean to provide project management services.
  • Oversee the physical construction activities in strict compliance with contract specifications, local and national building regulations, and project-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to document and maintain standard reports on delays, workarounds, shutdowns, and other critical issues.
  • Resolve interpersonal conflicts on-site; demonstrate leadership and motivational skills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control for all aspects of MSS-related scope and schedule.
  • Attend all inspections for assigned projects.
  • Manage and provide feedback on the MSS tool tracking program as it pertains to assigned projects and personnel.
  • Forecast and manage varying levels of labor and equipment needs for projects.
  • Organize the workforce to efficiently complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Interpret complex blueprints and equipment installation manuals.
  • Address complex job-related challenges and propose solutions to the Project Team and/or Field Operations Manager.
  • Act as a liaison with client representatives.
  • Monitor project progress and report weekly to the Field Operations Manager and Project Managers.
  • Ensure safety on assigned projects and assist the safety manager in maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Coordinate daily job operations with project managers.
  • Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and labor, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work activities.
  • Identify and report any issues or deficiencies to the Project Manager, documenting on-site activities that may hinder progress or compliance.
  • Conduct interviews and select field staff for the job site.
  • Participate in all project meetings.
  • Conduct safety briefings and maintain attendance records.
  • Perform performance evaluations for project employees.
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven expertise in managing site logistics and contract operations, particularly in urban settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all construction phases, with experience in various divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Strong technical and communication skills are essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of construction experience as a Lead Superintendent.
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC, ducting, hydronic piping, and plumbing, with the ability to maintain current project documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with BIM-coordinated projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of experience in commercial/industrial construction as a Superintendent or Foreman.
  • Regular and supervisory probation period may be required.
  • Random drug testing is a requirement.
  • Appointment to this position may necessitate a background investigation.
