Position Overview: As a Senior MEP Project Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Reporting Structure: Reports to: Project Manager, Project Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner's representatives to ensure alignment with project objectives from inception to completion.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, including Turner’s agreements, plans, specifications, and relevant codes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Turner MEP team, including conducting performance evaluations.
  • Supervise daily operations of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinate staff.
  • Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality assurance, safety protocols, engineering processes, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and project close-out activities.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the design, cost management, sequencing, logistics, and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to identify design elements that incur additional costs and suggest alternatives that provide similar or enhanced functionality. Proven ability to present technical information effectively. LEED accreditation is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and familiarity with project management and scheduling software is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Duties may require physical abilities such as climbing stairs, using construction personnel hoists, climbing ladders, and navigating construction sites. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
