About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Create Comprehensive Cost Estimates: Develop detailed cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations for projects at all levels of development.
  • Provide Value-Added Services: Offer conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary.
  • Develop Cost Models: Create comprehensive cost models that communicate clients' project and strategic goals.
  • Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Adhere to QA/QC procedures to ensure a quality product is presented to clients.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate clearly and concisely through various means to meet project goals.
  • Research and Develop Sources: Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining accuracy of cost information.
  • Mentor and Develop Team Members: Oversee, mentor, and develop other estimators in the region.
  • Support Business Development: Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, and presentations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of mechanical cost estimating experience across vertical construction/engineering projects, including conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc.
  • Construction Document Interpretation: Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert user of On Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar industry software.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced Microsoft Excel user and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; alternatively, 5 additional years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree.
