Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Grade Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and direction to crew members, ensuring safety is a top priority, and managing excavating activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Provide on-site supervision and direction to crew members
    • Instill safety as a top priority
  • Project Management
    • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule
    • Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly
    • Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans
  • Operational Management
    • Manage all excavating activities for your crew
    • Ability to explain and understand survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)
  • Communication and Problem-Solving
    • Analyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedly
    • Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction
  • Willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices
  • Must be familiar with heavy equipment
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills
  • Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
