Job Summary:

The Network Operations team at Pinnacle Group is responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of our network infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a fundamental understanding of network systems and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other infrastructure components, using network management tools and systems.
  • Triage trouble tickets based on priority and severity, determining the appropriate course of action and escalating issues as needed.
  • Perform preliminary troubleshooting of network issues to identify and resolve problems, utilizing diagnostic tools to gather data and analyze network performance.
  • Respond to network incidents promptly to minimize downtime and ensure quick resolution, following established incident response procedures.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, updating network diagrams and inventory records as required.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and customers regarding network status, issues, and resolutions, providing clear and concise updates on ticket status.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices for network operations and security.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 0-2 years of experience in network operations, IT support, or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), network hardware, and monitoring tools. Familiarity with common operating systems and network security practices.
  • CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Availability:

Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
