Core Responsibilities:
The primary function of this role involves the development and maintenance of the company's accounting policies and procedures related to regulatory and financial reporting. This position requires in-depth research on complex accounting transactions to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The individual will engage with various departments across the organization.

Key Duties:
  • Collaborate with Accounting Policy professionals to conduct technical research and provide guidance on existing and upcoming regulatory standards.
  • Review new products and intricate transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting mandates.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements, leading training sessions within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex transactions.
  • Extensive knowledge of US regulatory reporting standards in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing accounting standards across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, Master's in Accounting, or MBA.
  • Experience in Regulatory and Accounting Policy within a large financial institution.
  • Background with a major public accounting firm.
