Your Role

As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will transition from the hectic pace of public accounting to a pivotal role where you will lead reserve analysis, oversee balance sheets, and manage corporate reconciliations. Your expertise in IFRS and US GAAP will be essential as you innovate processes, ensure compliance, and facilitate month-end close activities. This position is a strategic opportunity for collaboration across functions, contributing significantly to the company's financial direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of specific balance sheet reserve accounts.
  • Oversee the Corporate balance sheet by coordinating reconciliation reviews and holding regular meetings with various accounting departments.
  • Establish and uphold policies to ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Work closely with business partners to achieve an accurate and efficient month-end close.
  • Manage monthly accounting close activities, including journal entries.
  • Ensure timely, clear, and precise balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in annual audits by providing necessary reports and schedules.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in accounting or finance (public accounting and/or industry).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or process automation.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion/Essbase.
  • 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with SOX compliance testing and internal controls.
  • Experience with large organizations (preferably with sales exceeding $3 billion).
