Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in managing the external financial statement audit process. This position serves as a key resource for providing and reviewing audit documentation while collaborating with external auditors. The analyst will also engage in research on technical accounting issues and support internal control assessments. This role operates in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate audit processes for IFRS audits, liaising between external auditors and internal departments.
  • Address and resolve inquiries and issues raised by external auditors.
  • Assist in the annual audit for Benefit Plans, including the preparation of independent financial statements.
  • Compile, analyze, and prepare supporting documents for both internal and external audits.
  • Enhance existing project workflows to boost accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with external auditors and internal team members to ensure effective communication.
  • Support various activities undertaken by the Audit Services team, including management reports and audit closing presentations.
  • Conduct research and document responses to technical accounting inquiries.
  • Facilitate reviews of internal controls.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification or in progress.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Public Accounting audit.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of processes and controls.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to collaborate with colleagues across various functions.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
