Job Summary:

As a Culinary Team Member, you will oversee your designated cooking station by adhering to proper setup protocols, efficiently processing guest orders, preparing and presenting menu items that align with our quality benchmarks, and ensuring a tidy and organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Culinary Team Member, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintaining a reliable attendance record by arriving for scheduled shifts promptly, managing shift changes responsibly, and following the company’s time-off and illness protocols.
  • Complying with all sanitation and safety regulations established by the company, achieving a score of 90% or higher on all relevant audits.
  • Meeting uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook.
  • Being knowledgeable about all menu offerings and accurately conveying specials to front-of-house staff. If inquired, providing precise information regarding preparation methods, ingredients, portion sizes, and available side items.
  • Determining daily preparation needs and effectively communicating the prep list while minimizing waste.
  • Clearly relaying orders and requirements to fellow cooks with 100% accuracy.
  • Ensuring all menu items are prepared according to our quality standards consistently.
  • Notifying the expediter/server promptly when orders are ready for delivery.
  • Following the receiving and storage protocols as directed by management.
  • Completing sidework as instructed by management.
  • Executing end-of-shift procedures with complete accuracy as outlined in the End of Shift/Checkout Procedures.
  • Fostering a positive team environment by assisting colleagues with their tasks and responsibilities when needed.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to lift heavy items, up to 50 pounds, on a frequent basis.
  • A strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • A valid food handlers certification.
  • Basic math skills and an understanding of measurements.
  • The ability to stand and move efficiently throughout the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • The ability to lift, bend, and stoop as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The role of a Culinary Team Member is both physically and mentally demanding. You will be expected to support the restaurant's mission, values, and vision while cooperating with established safety protocols and maintaining confidentiality regarding all operational data. Compliance with current laws and policies to ensure a respectful work environment is essential.

Teamwork is crucial; you will work collaboratively with colleagues, planning and executing tasks with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment. Participation in training, adherence to attendance and dress codes, and maintaining personal hygiene are required.
