Position Overview:
The Senior Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Personal and Professional Development Center (PPD) within the Gabelli School of Business. This position reports directly to the Director of Career Advising and Undergraduate Program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for students, alumni, and employers engaging with the PPD team.
2. Develop, monitor, and analyze resume collections for job and internship opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up with employer requests and coordinating student interviews as necessary.
3. Manage PPD communications with students regarding job openings, internships, employer events, and PPD initiatives, addressing student inquiries effectively.
4. Organize and oversee Gabelli PPD events and workshops, including room bookings, catering arrangements, and resource coordination (a/v, handouts, etc.).
5. Maintain the PPD event tracker each semester and assist in the collection and reporting of employment and internship outcomes.
6. Support the management of the PPD graduate assistant, if applicable.
7. Create and update PPD presentation materials and documents using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software.
8. Edit, fact-check, and proofread marketing and promotional materials for PPD, including web content, emails, newsletters, event programs, brochures, and flyers.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an academic, business, or office environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships, particularly with students.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, providing a professional atmosphere conducive to productivity.
