About the Initiative
The Flourishing in Community Grantmaker Initiative operates as the EPA Region 2 Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaker program. It aims to empower frontline communities to advance environmental and climate justice in areas significantly affected by environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and organize the calendars of the Co-PI and Program Officer, ensuring efficient scheduling of meetings and program events.
2. Handle correspondence, prepare reports, and maintain organized files for easy access and reference.
3. Coordinate logistics for team meetings and program-related events, including venue arrangements and participant coordination.
4. Take detailed minutes during meetings and distribute summaries to ensure effective communication and follow-up on action items.
5. Assist in the subgrant funding process, including tracking applications and liaising with applicants and recipients.
6. Support the monitoring of subgrant projects by compiling reports and updates for review by the Program Officer.
7. Manage the internal budget, track expenditures, process payments, and prepare financial reports.
8. Ensure timely handling of invoices and receipts related to program activities.
9. Assist in creating and disseminating communication materials and updating content for the website and social media.
10. Help organize outreach strategies to engage potential subgrant applicants and community partners.
11. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, maintaining accurate records for audits.
12. Contribute to the ongoing assessment and evaluation of the program by gathering feedback and data.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in operations or administration within higher education, nonprofit, or policy settings.
Skills: Proficiency in software project management and tracking systems is essential. A preference for candidates with an AA or BA degree and fluency in a second language commonly spoken in the region.

Compensation
Starting Salary: $65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
