About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crisis Intervention Team Supervisor to join our team at Franklin County Public Health. As a key member of our Crisis Intervention Team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and technical assistance to communities and outside partners on crisis intervention activities.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in social work or a related field, with at least 3 years of directly related experience assessing physical, mental, social, and economic needs of diverse populations. You will also have 2 years of experience in social work case management and a proven track record of working independently and collaboratively.

We are looking for someone with strong evaluation skills, excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and active listening skills. You will also have current licensure with the State of Ohio as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Marriage & Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Crisis Intervention Team to ensure a collaborative, coordinated plan of action that includes partnerships between the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the community, behavioral health, and social service agencies.
  • Provide therapeutic psychological assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, de-escalation, and social services linkage as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the behavioral health community, developing a foundation that promotes effective solutions for assisting those in crisis or with behavioral health challenges.
  • Collaborate with Care Coordination and Behavioral Health and Addiction Services to evaluate, design, and implement community outreach that helps prevent homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse issues in the community.
  • Provide clinical oversight and clinical supervision to the Behavioral Health and Addiction Services (BHAS) Peer Support Specialist program and provide guidance and alignment to the BHAS harm reduction mobile outreach program.
  • Provide expert advice and technical assistance and oversee the advice and technical assistance provided by the CIT team to communities and outside partners with respect to CIT activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work or other social service program.
  • 3 years' directly related experience including assessing physical, mental, social, and economic needs of diverse populations.
  • 2 years' experience in social work case management.
  • Current licensure with the State of Ohio as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Marriage & Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor.
