Job Description:

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting the company's growth and success by providing expertise in HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll verification.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition: Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager with pre-screening resumes, scheduling and conducting virtual and in-person interviews, checking references and background checks, and extending job offers.
  • Employee Relations: Conduct workplace investigations, administer and audit employee progressive discipline incidents, and respond to inquiries through the company's HR ticketing system.
  • Benefits Administration: Responsible for direction and planning of group benefit programs, coordinating transfer of data to external contacts, and ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Payroll Verification: Ensure payroll is executed in a timely manner, verify inputs in payroll system, and assist in time-sheet verification process.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resource related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of progressive experience in human resources, preferably in retail, service, or manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local law, particularly in Washington and Oregon; ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and possess attention to detail.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, comfortable discussing sensitive topics, and reside in the greater Spokane area.
