The Strategic Partnerships Manager is tasked with effectively representing the company's capabilities and materials within its target markets.
This role involves aligning the needs and challenges of our clients with the capabilities and solutions offered by the company to generate value for both the customer and the organization.
The position enhances market presence by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and ultimately closing new business relationships.Strategic Partnerships Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generates new sales volume from prospective clients.
Identifies or proposes potential business opportunities by reaching out to potential partners, discovering, and exploring new avenues.
Secures new business agreements by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with UFP's sales strategies and operations.
Evaluates potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; assessing options; resolving internal priorities; and recommending pricing strategies or equity investments.
Maintains and services existing UFP Technologies accounts.
This includes, but is not limited to, regular visits, development of new projects, technical support, and periodic order coordination.
Actively seeks new business opportunities.This includes, but is not limited to, attending trade shows, following up on promotional leads, conducting customer visits and presentations, and collaborating with engineering and project management.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the top 20 to 30 accounts, including annual sales, employee count, SIC code, trends, markets served, new products, locations, future opportunities, and competitors.
Maintains an active pipeline in the company CRM to achieve quarterly and annual new business objectives.
Shares industry, competitive, and market information with management, internal engineers, estimators, and select sales associates to inform and influence the internal decision-making process.
Forecasts and budgets annual sales by customer.
Assists in creating three- and five-year strategic plans for the respective plant or business unit.
Designs or assists in the design of custom solutions for packaging or component products.
Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Strategic Partnerships Manager Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or Arts or equivalent experience.
Ideally 3-5 years of direct sales experience in a manufacturing product environment.
Experience in consumable foam, film, and polymers is a plus.
