At ManTech, we're seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in the DMV area. This role offers opportunities for advancement and the chance to work on innovative projects that contribute to our national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services for our organization, ensuring compliance with budget and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Team to research potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and track inventory levels.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, resolve issues or discrepancies, and ensure that purchases align with our company's objectives.
  • Pay close attention to details, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Assist with the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring seamless procurement processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a Business-related discipline.
  • 4 years of related work experience may be exchanged in lieu of the required Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with workflow tools such as ServiceNow or Atlassian (Confluence, Jira).

Clearance Requirements:

  • This role requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Compensation:

The projected compensation range for this position is $68,000-$113,000. Compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant work experience, skills, and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education, and certifications.
