The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and testing, with experience in information technology, data science, financial analysis, statistics, computer science, or business management. A strong understanding of financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics relevant to the USDA AMS Cotton & Tobacco Program is also desired.
The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders of all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, is required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio is also a plus.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with the USDA's Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand specific spreadsheet needs, ensure user satisfaction, and deliver customized solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in QA and version control. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Certified Data Analyst (CDA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Lean Six Sigma, and Project Management Professional (PMP) are also desired.
