Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Raute Group in Pullman, WA. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchase process, including sourcing, quotations, and order placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a network of reliable suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Conduct cost analysis and negotiate prices with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
  • Initiate and manage purchase orders in our ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Monitor and identify changes affecting supply, demand, and needed products and materials, and notify stakeholders accordingly.
  • Update purchase orders to reflect correct pricing and delivery dates, and maintain accurate records of vendor-related issues.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and offer solutions to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to influence purchasing decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of sourcing and vendor management.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and previous experience with an ERP system.
  • Familiarity with components associated with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and experience processing freight claims and sourcing vendors.
  • Good understanding of accounting practices and superior communication and listening skills to resolve customer issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including integrity, courtesy, tact, teamwork, respect, and discretion.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to compare prices and quantities and consider vendor contract terms.
