Job Summary

Acquisition Professionals LLC is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist II to provide cradle-to-grave contract support to the Contracting Officer. This role involves acquisition development, requirements gathering, solicitation development, and selection planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contracting by negotiations, proper acquisition planning, and conducting market research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Contracting Officer in conducting strategic requirements review, acquisition strategy development, and solicitation development.
  • Review requirements documents submitted by the Program Office to determine adequacy and sufficiency.
  • Participate in meetings as required, including pre-award conferences, post-award meetings, and periodic progress review meetings.
  • Prepare solicitations, acquisition plans, source selection plans, and other documents required in accordance with regulatory and local guidance.
  • Support the Contracting Officer in assisting customers with the development and preparation of requirements documents.
  • Complete all contract awards within the established Procurement Administrative Lead-times (PALT) identified by the Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE).
  • Prepare modifications for various contractual actions, including contracts, purchase/delivery/task orders, blanket purchase agreements, and indefinite delivery contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 24 semester hours in business-related coursework from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience and knowledge in contracting by negotiations, proper acquisition planning, conducting market research, price, cost, and cost realism analysis, service contracting, and drafting performance work statements.
