POSITION OVERVIEW
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for overseeing the Front Desk operations, Property Maintenance Team, and Overnight Agents. This role ensures the hotel operates at a level that meets and surpasses guest expectations. The manager will foster a positive environment by developing, engaging, and motivating team members consistently. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the property's physical appearance and cleanliness. In the absence of the General Manager, this position will act as the manager on duty and assist with various special projects as required. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Palihouse West Hollywood is located on the renowned W 3rd St. and features 95 well-appointed guestrooms, an indoor/outdoor pool lounge, and a Lobby Lounge, Café, and Bar that welcomes both locals and visitors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing all operational aspects of the hotel.
- Conduct regular meetings with team members.
- Ensure compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Address key property issues, including customer service.
- Manage complaints and oversee service recovery processes.
- Make decisions that align with the best interests of the hotel and management.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.
- Support the procurement of operational supplies and equipment.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors for essential services and equipment.
- Assist in training key team members.
- Coordinate activities and functions with team members.
- Prepare the weekly schedule for team members.
- Supervise all on-property team members during shifts.
- Take ownership of guest complaints and ensure accountability among team members.
- Provide effective leadership to team members.
- Respond to audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel environment.
- Familiarity with Opera or similar property management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in clear and concise communication in English.
- Demonstrated good judgment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive results.
- Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, and bend continuously throughout the day.
